
FLEET
Maintenance
This area is where important fleet information is stored. Fleet
Master, Fleet Regions, Fleet Service Types and Rate information are
included in Fleet Maintenance. This information is used throughout
the Fleet Management System.
Fleet Master Tab
This tab is used to enter the Fleet Location and the
River/Mile information. A Repair check box is available if the
fleet location performs barge/boat repair services.

Fleet Region
Tab
Fleet Locations are divided into Fleet
Regions. A fleet location can have more than one fleet region if
needed. The Fleet Region name, width, and length are entered here
which is used to display the Fleet Diagram size.

Service Master Tab
Fleet Services are stored here for each Fleet Region.
Fleet Service examples are Fleeting, Tug Assist, Shifting, Towing,
etc.
Rules can be established to insure that correct
information is entered when the fleet service occurs. An example is a
tug service may always require that a harbor boat is entered when
creating the event.

Rates Tab
Rates for each type of Fleet Service
are entered here. The Rates Tab is very flexible allowing for a high
level of rate customization for the diverse fleet operator’s
services. Both general and customer specific rates for each fleet
service is a very unique feature of the Fleet Management System.
Specific information entered includes:

Customer information for specific customer rates

Effective Date – Allows entry of a date used to
determine when the rate will become active and to keep a history of
past rates

Regular Rate – Allows entry of a rate amount for
combinations of Regular Box/Rake Load/Empty barges

Dry or Liquid – Allows different rates to be used for
Dry and Liquid Barges

Oversized Rate – Allows entry of rate amount for
combinations of Oversized Box/Rake Load/Empty barges

Minimum Quantity – Allows entry of a minimum
quantity. The quantity entered is used to determine when the rates
entered will be charged

Allows selection of a unit-of-measure for the rates
entered
