FLEET Maintenance

This area is where important fleet information is stored.  Fleet Master, Fleet Regions, Fleet Service Types and Rate information are included in Fleet Maintenance.  This information is used throughout the Fleet Management System.

Fleet Master Tab

This tab is used to enter the Fleet Location and the River/Mile information.  A Repair check box is available if the fleet location performs barge/boat repair services.

Fleet Region Tab

Fleet Locations are divided into Fleet Regions.  A fleet location can have more than one fleet region if needed.  The Fleet Region name, width, and length are entered here which is used to display the Fleet Diagram size.

Service Master Tab

Fleet Services are stored here for each Fleet Region.  Fleet Service examples are Fleeting, Tug Assist, Shifting, Towing, etc.

Rules can be established to insure that correct information is entered when the fleet service occurs.  An example is a tug service may always require that a harbor boat is entered when creating the event.

Rates Tab

Rates for each type of Fleet Service are entered here.  The Rates Tab is very flexible allowing for a high level of rate customization for the diverse fleet operator’s services.  Both general and customer specific rates for each fleet service is a very unique feature of the Fleet Management System.   Specific information entered includes:

  • Customer information for specific customer rates

  • Effective Date – Allows entry of a date used to determine when the rate will become active and to keep a history of past rates
