DELTA'S FEATURES

DELTA centers itself on its ease of use and how features integrate with each other.  Whether the business is a barge company, a towing business, a fleeting business or any combination, DELTA provides solutions to meet the needs that are required.

·         Orders – Working with boats and barge orders is a primary dispatch function.  Both barge and vessel orders are easily displayed on one screen and include most recent milepost information.  Multiple search and filter options make it easy to access this information depending on how a dispatcher or others in the company need to see the information.

·        cONTRACTS - DELTA provides the ability to keep extensive information on contracts including rate, demurrage, special provisions and clauses.  This information is automatically used when orders are booked and a history of contract changes are also maintained.

·     Vessel management – Events such as pickup, drop off, dock transfer information or any event important to the daily operation of the vessel is readily available.  Current and last commodity are included along with computer generated ETA’s.  This information can generate vessel, barge and customer logs as needed.

·       Invoices – Generation of invoices is an essential part of barge tracking and vessel management.  Based on the orders, vessel detail and other information, invoices are easily generated and interfaces to outside accounting systems are created.  Invoices are customized with company logos and other customer specific requirements as needed.

·        Government/Regulatory Reporting – Agency reporting is incorporated into DELTA and is generated from other functions such as Orders and Vessel Detail.  By leveraging information from other functions, the amount of time required to generate government and regulatory reports is virtually eliminated.

·     Tow Diagram – Tow configuration is essential in many situations.  Tow diagrams are graphically shown using exact barge dimensions and certain characteristics of the barges (rake, box, number of tanks, etc.)  which help in determining the best tow configuration.  Future planned tows can be created to aid in the upcoming plans for the boat.

·       Map View - MapPoint displays boat location and other information on very detailed maps.  Options include zooming in and out in order to see all positions of vessels including boat name, river/mile marker, direction, date, latitude, and longitude.

·         Vessel Software – As part of the full integration that the DELTA product offers, vessel management software is available.  This includes the ability for orders to be sent to the boat, traffic to be generated to the office from the vessel and other essential information that is typically included in vessel and office communications.  Understanding the nature that vessel software needs to be very easy to use, ITS built this with the crew in mind and is in use on vessels today.
